This open-concept kitchen remodel features custom cabinets, quartz countertops, and a large island—transforming a closed space into a bright centerpiece.
What was once a small, closed-off Lombard kitchen is now a bright, open room that flows straight into the dining area. We removed the dividing wall between them, which opened up the sightlines and pulled natural light in from the backyard slider.
Soft greige raised-panel cabinets with slim brass hardware line one wall, topped in marble-look quartz with a matching full-height slab backsplash. Warm white-oak floors run throughout, tying the kitchen to a dining nook lit by a black dome pendant. The result is a comfortable, open-plan centerpiece the whole home revolves around.
