1,800 Sq Ft Basement Renovation: Full Gut and Finish
This 1,800 sq ft Glen Ellyn basement was fully gutted and finished with LVP flooring, LED lighting, modern trim, and a fresh, functional design.
This 1,800-square-foot Glen Ellyn basement started as an unfinished, dated space and came out a bright, open lower level that lives like the rest of the house. We took it down to the shell and rebuilt from there with new framing, insulation, and a clean, code-compliant electrical and lighting plan.
Wide-plank luxury vinyl runs wall to wall in a soft gray that shrugs off everyday wear, under a suspended ceiling and recessed panel lighting that keeps the whole floor evenly lit even with modest basement windows. We wrapped the steel support column, ran crisp white trim and baseboard throughout, and hung solid doors so the finished rooms feel intentional, not tacked on.
The result is a flexible, wide-open footprint ready for a family room, home office, gym, or guest suite, finished and inspected start to finish by our own crew.
